BACKING, INSULATION, AND SUBSTRATES

The second component in our Fabric Wall Finishing System is the Backing - often called Substrate, core, Insulation or padding - the backing will give your installation it's functionality. The Backing fills in the Frame area and covers the wall, absorbing reverberated sound, providing impact-resistance, thermal insulation, and a pinnable bulletin-board-like surface perfect for tacking things up.

RECORE ®

ReCore is our most popular Backing with the most functionality. It's Acoustic, Tackable, Thermally Insulative, Impact-Resistant, Non-Hygroscopic, made of 100% Polyester Fibers, and is fully recyclable at end of life. No itchy Fiberglass !!

SOFT-TOUCH - WALL CUSHION

Our Soft-Touch Wall Cushion is a great non-allergenic, non-hygroscopic option and is often used for Home Theaters, Bedrooms, lobbies and anywhere you want a padded look and feel. It has acoustic and thermal advantages .

LAMINATES

Customize the shape, size, color, and more with our Laminates. Uses ReCore® Backing with custom fabric (or other substrate) adhered to the face (no Frame or Fabric needed).

SOFT-TOUCH - WALL CUSHION

Made of 100% bonded polyester fibers. Soft-Touch Wall Cushion is a great design option for Home Theaters, Bedrooms lobbies and anywhere you want a padded look and feel. It's safe, non-allergenic, and non-hygroscopic (doesn't absorb moisture). With this durable polyester backing you can easily achieve a "pillow" effect to really make your installation stand out.

Our Soft-Touch Wall Cushion backing also gives acoustic and thermal advantages by absorbing reverberated and reflected sounds as well as helping regulate temperature. It's non-rigid, lightweight, and very easy to work with.

LAMINATES

We use our revolutionary ReCore® as a backing for Laminates. ReCore® is a revolutionary, environmentally responsible insulation and substrate made from 100% non-woven polyester fiber. It is made from 60% post-consumer content (recycled plastic beverage containers), and is, itself, 100% recyclable. We use Thin Loop Fabric for the coverings on our Laminate panels and installations but a variety of different substrate textures, types, and materials may be used.

Available in multiple thicknesses, densities, and colors. ReCore® is ideal as an acoustic insulation for panels, wall, and ceilings. It is unsurpassed as a tackable surface while simultaneously providing impact-resistant shock absorbency. It can also be used as ceiling tiles, as a duct liner, and as a sound deadening medium below carpeting and wood flooring.
