As the third components in our Fabric Wall Finishing System, the fabric will not only provide you with style, but can also assist in the functionality of your panel/wall.

CUSTOMIZED STYLE AND PERFORMANCE

We have many fabric styles and colors to choose from to meet your design, functional, and budgetary demands. We only offer fabrics that meet our high standards of quality, durability, and sustainability.  Our Fabrics/Coverings are not from other manufactures, but are our lines designed and manufactured to our specifications for top performance and years durability and enjoyment. 


You don't have to sacrifice aesthetics for functionality anymore. Our fabrics come in beautiful colorways and have high-quality textures. They are also incredibly durable and most can be tacked or pinned repeatedly while showing no damage or wear and tear.

We have a select collection of fabrics that have already been tested for their tackability. These fabrics can be used with pins and tacks and won't show holes when the pins/tacks are removed.

Closed Circuit is inspired by the technology surrounding us. A tightly woven fabric with a subtle block/rectangle pattern. A great fit for modern offices, conference rooms, work stations, and more. FULL-SPAN - 120" USABLE WIDTH
Full-Span (118") Fabric is the go-to option for ceilings or large expanses of wall that need coverage with minimal seams or intersections. This classic fabric looks great and doesn't sacrifice functionality to do so. Full-Span Fabric allows air and sound waves to pass through it so they can be absorbed by the substrate/backing which can help considerably with sound and reverberation issues in noisy areas. Full-Span is available in Black or White and both colors are available for QuickShip delivery.

    BE AWARE OF YOUR ENVIRONMENT

    FABRIC SELECTION - Be Aware of Your Environment

    • Choose colors and textures that will enhance your environment. 

    • Consider using fabrics made from recycled products. Improve your spaces and the spaces that we all share at the same time. There are many fabrics that have a 100% recycled content. 

    • Most fabrics work well with our system. Very light colored or sheer fabrics may be too transparent, requiring a liner such as "scrim" to prevent the background from showing through the fabric. 

    • Fabric widths vary by style and are typically between 54" - 66". To minimize waste, choose a fabric of the correct width for your layout. 

    • Special care must be taken in the selection and installation of fabrics. Some fabrics have a directional weave. Others have patters or repeats. These can affect your layout and even the quantity of fabric required. 

    • If you will be using your panel or system for tackable surfaces, choose a fabric that will not show the pin holes and for magnetically receptive surfaces, make certain that the fabric is not too thick or has a raised pattern as either would create an air gap, reducing the holding power. 

    ENSURE YOUR FABRIC IS SAFE

    FABRIC SELECTION - Ensure Your Fabric is Safe

    • The Fabricmate® Panle and Wall Systems are ASTM-E84 Class A Certified.

    • Commercial building codes require that all fabrics and substrates be tested and certified as Class A in accordance with the ASTM-E84 or NFPA 255 test. Additional testing may be necessary. Consult your local building and safety codes for complete requirements. 

    • Whether for commercial or residential application, use only fabrics that have been certified ASTM-E84 Class A.

    • The use of substrates that are not certified ASTM-E84 Class A, or the use of wooden frames in conjunction with Class A certified fabrics is not recommended. We understand all of the considerations and stand ready to assist you in making the correct fabric selection.

    SOUND ADVICE ABOUT FABRIC

    FABRIC SELECTION - Sound Advice About Fabrics

    • The fabric you select can impact the acoustical properties of your panels. Many fabrics are acoustically transparent, allowing your backing/substrate to absorb sound.

    • Both fabrics and backings/substrates have NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) ratings. These ratings, between 0 (perfectly reflective) and 1 (perfectly absorptive), relate to the materials ability to absorb sound. 

    • Fabric made of 100% polyester with an open weave is the most transparent. These fabrics are often made from 100% recycled products.

    • Applied backings can significantly reduce the NRC of a given fabric. Liners such as "scrim", when installed separately, may have on a minimal effect on the fabrics NRC.

    • Sound absorption is no the same as sound transmission. If you need to reduce the transmission of sound to adjoining spaces, a damping material must be used. Damping materials can be used in conjunction with absorptive materials. 

    WITHSTANDING THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC

    FABRIC SELECTION - Withstanding the Flow of Traffic

    • Not all fabrics are durable and able to withstand the unusually high wear -and-tear that occurs in high-traffic environments. 

    • Spaces that endure high-traffic volume need to be faced with fabrics that are high-impact and durable.

      HIGH-TRAFFIC FABRICS (Capable of withstanding over 30,000 Double-Rubs)
      Wall Protection installation such as chair rails or wainscoting in hallways & common areas should be faced with a fabric that can withstand regular and repeated abrasions. Most fabrics with a high-impact rating are suitable for high-traffic areas. High-traffic fabrics can be expected to last in high-traffic environments for well over 10 years.

      MEDIUM-TRAFFIC FABRICS (Capable of withstanding 15,000 - 30,000 Double-Rubs)
      You can face a wall with less durable fabrics if it isn't expected to receive regular impacts or wear. Walls behind a counter, residential spaces, conference rooms, or in any other area that doesn't see a high volume of traffic can be considered medium or even low traffic.

      LOW-TRAFFIC FABRICS (Capable of withstanding up to 15,000 Double-Rubs)
      These fabrics are meant for use in environments that won't receive regular wear or impacts. Ceilings or acoustic installations that are out of reach can be faced with low-traffic fabrics since they won't receive much wear.
