Provide Site Fabricated Tackable /Acoustical Wall Systems as sho wn on the drawings, as specified herein and as needed for a complete and proper installation. B. Contractor will provide Manufactu rer’s Standard Fabric Replacem ent Warranty. C. Contractor will perform a “value engineering” review of provide d drawings, seeking product manufacturers input as appropriat e, and make recommendations fo r the benefit of the project. 1.02 RELATED WORK A. Documents affecting work of this section include, but are not n ecessarily limited to, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and sections in Division 1 of these Specifications. 1.03 SUBMITTALS A. General: Submit five (5) copies of the following in accordance with Conditions of Contract and Division 1 Specification Sections. B. Product Data: Submit manufacture r’s technical data, installatio n instructions, and maintenance and cleaning instructions. C. Certified Test Reports: Submit tes t data for the manufacturer’s products from an independent testing agency, accept able to authorities having jurisdiction, evidencing the panel components and/or assemblies comply with requirements indicated for Tackab le/Acoustical and fire performance characteristics. D. Provide a copy of the Manufacturer’s Standard Fabric Replacemen t Warranty and Manufacturer’s Lifetime Warranty on Track, 10‐Ye ar Warranty on ReCore certific ates, available at manufacturer’s website: www.fabricmate.com. All Warranty Certificates must inc lude the Project Registration Number to ensure validity of Ma nufacturer’s Warranty. Warranty certificates witho ut a registration number are not valid. E. Samples: 1. Fabric — Submit manufacturer’s st andard size swatches of Tackab le/Acoustical fabric. 2. Core Material — Submit 8 ½“X 11“ samples of each core material used, showing full range of materials, thicknesses, acoustics, and densities.

Follow contours of the wall and sc ribe to adjoining work accura tely at borders, penetrations, and imperfections. 2. Track around all openings within a panel when needed as per man ufacturer’s instructions. 3. Allow adequate spacing for insertion of installation tool. 4. Wrap fabric around outside corner s in one piece without seams o r joints, creating one panel on two different wall planes. Fabric shall float over the corne r matching the adjacent track’s detail. C. Core Material — Prep surfaces that receive treatment; remove wa ll plates and other obstacles. Attach core to mounting surface per manufacturer’s specificatio ns. Cut core material to accurately fit inside tracked perimeter, mainta ining the same plane. Mechanica lly fasten core to prevent air gaps between core and wall and to assure proper adhesion. 1. Assure that all fixtures have the necessary backing to keep the m flush with the Tackable/Acoustical panels. D. Fabrics — Stretch fabric into th e track’s locking jaws using th e manufacturer’s recommended “rolling tool”, keeping fabric weave plumb, level and true in proper rel ation to the building lines without ripples, waviness, or “hourglass” effects. 1. Use of adhesives or mechanical fasteners is strictly prohibited . 2. The Fabricmate “floating‐fabric” design shall not be compromise d. Fabric shall not be glued or attached to the core material in any way. 3. Fabric shall be stretched and tensioned sufficiently taut to av oid sagging under varying year‐ round temperature and humidity conditions. 4. Fabric shall maintain its shape after being touched or leaned a gainst without leaving any indentations, sags, or blisters. 5. Ceiling applications shall not de viate more than 1” from true p lane of ceiling in 20’ span. 3.03 CLEANING AND PROTECTION A. Clean exposed surfaces of Tackab le/Acoustical panels; comply wi th manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning and repair of minor finish damage. Remove and replace work that cannot be successfully cleaned and repaired to permanen tly eliminate evidence of damag e. B. The sub‐contractor shall advise the general contractor of the r equired protection for the Fabricmate Systems panels, such as; temperature and humidity limitations a nd dust control, so that the finished work will be without damage and de terioration at the time of ac ceptance by the Owner/District. 3.04 WARRANTY A. All tackable and Tackable/Acous tical wall and ceiling panels sh all have a warranty against defects or workmanship of not less than 5‐Years, commencing on the date of substantial completion. 1. Contractor must examine substrat es and conditions under which t he Tackable/Acoustical system is to be applied and notify the Arc hitect in writing of conditions detrimental to proper and timely completion. Do not proceed with work until unsatisfactory condi tions have been deemed corrected and acceptable to contractor. B. Verify all stationary objects abutting Tackable/Acoustical pane ls are installed (i.e. casework, marker boards, door and window jams, c eiling) prior to installation. 3.02 INSTALLATION A. Install Tackable/Acoustical wall panels in locations indicated on plans. Comply with manufacturer’s printed instructions for installi ng site‐fabricated track syste ms. B. Track: Install perimeter and inte rmediate track using screws, a nchors and staples as project conditions warrant. Secure track b ase to wall (or ceiling) to p revent track framewo rk from separating away from the wall. For masonry s urfaces use a continuous bead of PL200 or equal with conical anchor and pin/nail/rivets every 6‐8 inches per manufacturer’s recommendation.

Track — Submit samples of manufac turer’s “Track” or “Frame” sho wing full range of edge profiles, thicknesses, and details for each type of Tackable/Ac oustical panel. Where more than one edge profile is used on a panel, clearly show how each edge profile transitions into a different edge profile. 4. Samples — Provide 8 ½“X 11“sample s of each type of panel used, including representative samples of each thickness and pa nel type. Install samples on a substrate of sufficient firmness to allow the samples to be handled without damage. 5. Accessory Package: Submit one F abricmate FS670 Accessory Packag e. 1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Contractor: Provide verifiably genuine products for each type o f wall panel as produced by the manufacturer(s), including recommended primers, adhesives, and sealants. The manufacturer’s published product literature shall clearly indicate compliance of wall panels with requirements indicated. B. Both individual components and finished assemblies shall meet t he following as appropriate: 1. Thickness: 1/2", Density: 9.4 pcf. 2. Fire Performance Characteristics : Provide Tackable/Acoustical w all panels with surface‐ burning characteristics as indica ted below, as determined by te sting assembled materials and construction according to AS TM E‐84 Class A, by a testing o rganization acceptable to authorize having jurisdiction. i. Be free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). 5. Fungi Resistance Certification of core material in accordance w ith ASTM C 1338. 1.05 DELIVERIES, STORAGE, AND HANDLING A. Protect the Fabric, core materia l, and track from excessive moi sture in shipment, storage, and handling. Deliver in unopened bun dles and store in a dry place with adequate air circulation. Do not deliver material until wet work s uch as concrete and plaster ha s been completed. 1.06 PROJECT CONDITIONS A. Do not begin installation until sp aces to receive Tackable/Acou stical panels have been enclosed and maintained at approximately the same humidity and temperature c onditions as planned for occupancy. Stretched fabric panel system sh all consist of continuous perim eter and intermediate mounting extrusions that are site fabricated, and applied direc tly to the wall surface. 2. Fabric face shall be s tretched over core mat erials and tucked i nto the track’s locking jaws, leaving fabric floating above core surface. Installation of fab ric facing shall not utilize any adhesives, nails, tacks, screws, sewn seams, thermally bonded s eams, or tape. 3. Systems shall allow for removal a nd replacement of fabric from individual panels. Removal of fabric shall provide access to sur face behind fabric. Fabric sh all be removable and replaceable without dismantling, removal, damaging, or replacem ent of the track extrusions or core material. 4. All fabrics shall be evaluated by the contractor for suitabilit y with its system, the intended application, and for warranty pur poses. When uncertain, the co ntractor should consult with the system manufacturer. 5. Framework: One‐piece extruded polymer track system with jaws of sufficient strength to securely hold fabric in place after repeated applications. Mini mum track wall thickness specification shall be .065”. T rack style and color (standard colors or specified PMS color) to be selected by architect. 6. Edge detail: Square. 7.
